The Aladdin Knights

Who are the Aladdin Knights? They are members of an elite group who are making things happen in the world of antique lighting. They are also the greatest group of collectors of antique Aladdin coal-oil (kerosene) and electric lamps. They are dedicated to the advancement of collecting and preserving Aladdin lamps and memorabilia. Whether a member collects lamps for pure enjoyment, as an investment, or as a dealer to sell, each will benefit from sharing knowledge with other members of The Aladdin Knights. Where did the name originate? Lets take it one word at a time.

Mystic -

"of the nature of or pertaining to mysteries known only to the initiated."

Light -

"being revealed to public notice or knowledge."

Aladdin -

"the son of a poor widow in China (in The Arabian Night's Entertainments) who becomes the posessor of a magic lamp and ring with which he commands two jinns who gratify all his wishs". Later, in 1908, a trademark selected by V. S. Johnson, Sr., for the finest kerosene mantle lamp ever to be developed by The Mantle Lamp Company of America.

Knight -

"a member of any order of association of men bearing the name of Knights."
