 The Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company introduced this special 100th Anniversary Aladdin Parlor Lamp at the Gathering in Nashville, August 9, 2007. John MacLean presented the lamp to Aladdin collectors at the Thursday reception dinner. Orders commenced during the lamp show in the Good Pickin’s booth.
These special parlor lamps are available in Japanese Bronze or polished brass finishes. Sales of Japanese Bronze lamps in kerosene only version will be limited to 2008—no sales after December 2008. The commemorative lamps are designated as Model 23A with a unique, large round wick knob. Brass parlor lamps, without the round knob, will remain in the company’s line after 2008.
Four artichoke shades are offered—white opal, emerald  green, ruby red or golden amber. The shades are gorgeous fit on the lamps. The rims are fired smooth and every shade has a decal fired inside marking it as genuine Aladdin.
The lamp base rests flat on the table without the antique “feet", required for the 1908 lamp. The anniversary lamps cannot be mistaken for old, original center-draft Aladdin parlor lamps. The bottom is nicely finished with a felt pad.
